Cash on Delivery Freight — Secure Payments at Destination

Move your freight and collect payment on arrival. Our drivers handle delivery and payment collection safely, from Columbus, OH to all 50 states.

What COD Freight Means

Cash on Delivery — or COD — is a shipping arrangement where the recipient pays for the freight when it arrives, not before. The carrier handles both the delivery and the collection, then forwards the payment to the shipper.

For sellers, it removes the risk of shipping before getting paid. For buyers, it confirms the goods arrived before money changes hands. It's a common arrangement for wholesale deliveries, dealer inventory, and any transaction where both parties want protection.

When COD Makes Sense

COD works well for:

  • First-time transactions where trust hasn't been established
  • High-value shipments where prepayment feels risky
  • Buyers who prefer to inspect goods before paying
  • Sellers who want confirmed delivery before releasing invoices
  • Dealer or distributor networks with established COD workflows

It's less common for recurring contract shipments where invoicing arrangements are already in place, but for one-off or occasional deliveries it can be exactly the right structure.

How Our COD Process Works

Every COD shipment follows a clear process:

  • 1. Quote and confirm: you send us the shipment details and the COD amount to collect
  • 2. Pickup: we pick up the freight from your location with a signed bill of lading
  • 3. Transport: we move the freight in our fully enclosed box truck
  • 4. Delivery and collection: our driver delivers the freight and collects the agreed payment on the spot
  • 5. Payment forwarding: we transfer the collected funds to you promptly after delivery

Security and Documentation

COD shipments require careful documentation. We maintain signed bills of lading, delivery receipts, and payment confirmation for every load. Our drivers are trained to handle payment collection professionally — verifying identities, confirming amounts, and providing proper receipts.

Our operating authority under DOT #4467537 and MC #1762732 means every driver and every truck is fully vetted, insured, and accountable to federal safety and compliance standards.

What We Move on COD

Same as our general freight service — commercial goods up to 26,000 lbs in fully enclosed 26ft box trucks. Retail merchandise, industrial parts, packaged goods, textiles, dealer inventory, and general dry freight. We don't haul chemicals or hazardous materials.
